Host/Hostess |Part-Time

Manor Grange is looking to recruit a part-time Host/Hostess to join their team.

Your duties will include ensuring the trollies are fully stocked prior to serving of snacks and meals, ensuring kitchenette areas are fully stocked and clean, assist in clearing tables and the kitchen when required. You will also be required to serve teas and coffees to residents in the morning throughout the home.

Communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working with our residents at all times, you will play an important part in making sure they feel welcome and at home with us.

The ability to work on your own initiative is essential and you’ll have great team skills too. You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme.

Experience in food preparation for elderly clients would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given to the right candidates. 

The position, which requires you to work from 7.45am to 12.15pm on Saturday and Sunday, offers a competitive rate of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Nurses |Night Shift

Manor Grange is seeking to recruit experienced Nurses to join their friendly team – assistance will be given to help revalidate exceptional candidates. The purpose built care home in Pinkhill, Edinburgh has been finished to an extremely high standard and has a host of luxurious features available to their residents including a putting green, Cinema Room and Hair Salon amongst other features. 

The home provides excellent standards of nursing care for elderly residents, including those with dementia. The approach at Manor Grange is not just meeting the care needs of their residents but exceeding their expectations and ensuring their health, wellbeing and interests are looked after at all times. 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be motivated to offer the highest standards of care
to our residents and be interested in continuing personal professional development. Manor Grange expects candidates to be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required in a Care Home environment. Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for residents to ensure continuity of care. 

All applicants must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly and
either be qualified RGN/RMN or ready to revalidate – the management team are happy to assist with the revalidation process. Exemplary communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate on a variety of levels in fluent English. You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme. In return you will become part of an experienced and dedicated team led by management who really care about their residents and their staff. Personal development is actively encouraged at Manor Grange with many of our team gaining professional qualifications obtained through development in the home.

Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous for this role but is not essential. 
Full-time and part-time positions are available with a rate of pay of £17 p/h.

Carers & Care Assistants | Day Shift

Manor Grange is seeking to recruit Care Assistants and Carers to join their friendly team.

The home provides excellent standards of care for elderly residents, including those with dementia. The approach at Manor Grange is not just meeting the care needs of their residents but exceeding their expectations and ensuring their health, wellbeing and interests are looked after at all times. 

Your main responsibility will be to provide personal care for their residents, attending to their needs by recognising and facilitating the personal requirements of each resident. You’ll also be closely involved in the general activities of the home, and responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members, and visitors.

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment. A willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes is essential. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a friendly team. An SVQ in care is not necessary for this post although it would be an advantage. You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme. You will be required to register with the SSSC.

Full time and part-time day positions are available for this post with excellent rates of pay, a first-class working environment and a motivated and enthusiastic team. Additional benefits include a pension scheme and supporting further progression of individuals.

Team Leaders | Night Shift

Manor Grange is looking to recruit full-time Night Shift Team Leaders to join their team.

Team Leaders will support training, induction, and supervision of junior and new staff members in providing excellent personal care to support our resident’s daily needs. They will also administer medicines, and undertake the re-ordering on a monthly basis, as required in accordance with policies and procedures, as well as assisting in building relationships between staff and residents.

Team Leaders will also be expected to develop person-centered care plans, complete and update assessments, review the care plans monthly, organise and hold reviews with the residents or family members.

An SVQ 3 in care is necessary for this position, as is previous management/supervisory experience. Previous experience of administering medication is preferred.  You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme. You will be required to register with the SSSC. A willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes is essential.

The position is 38.5 hours and offers an excellent rate of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Kitchen Assistant | Full-Time

Manor Grange is looking to recruit a full-time Kitchen Assistant to join their team.

The position will involve assisting the Chef in organising and controlling the efficient and economic production of quality food within the allowed budget, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.

A Basic Food/Hygiene certificate is required. Good communication skills, verbal and written, as well as good team skills, are necessary for this role. Ability to work on own initiative is also essential. You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme.
