Care Tailored To Every Need

Our approach focuses on our residents’ overall health, well-being, and hobbies, rather than just meeting their care needs. We have a team of highly trained professionals that know what it takes to improve the lives of our residents and create a healthy and happy atmosphere. Residents’ transition to Manor Grange Care Home should mark the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in their lives, one that allows them to feel confident and content while keeping as much independence as possible.

All of our residents benefit from our skilled team who care for those with Residential, Respite, Dementia, and Nursing needs. Manor Grange Care Home puts residents first at all times, working closely with them and their families to establish individualised care plans. We not only provide excellent care, but we also provide a weekly activity schedule and a range of facilities that allows residents to enjoy everyday activities that they are interested in.

Providing expert advice and assistance to family members and residents who live with us is an important step toward becoming the most effective carers we can be. We place a high value on developing relationships among staff, residents, and their families, which has allowed us to understand as much as we can about our residents. Because we recognise and understand the importance of building strong and long-lasting relationships, we are able to provide care that is tailored to each resident’s specific needs.

Encouraging Individuality & Self-Confidence

Our pleasant residence enables our team to give the highest level of care while helping our residents to become more self-sufficient and live a life that suits them. We guarantee that everyone who moves to our home will feel relaxed and at ease, enabling residents to focus on their passions from the start. We provide residents with a wide selection of amenities as well as a carefully curated diversified activity programme in which they are encouraged to participate in. We are honoured to be able to assist individuals in every manner possible so that they can live as independently as possible while increasing their self-confidence.

A Five-Star Lifestyle

Everything that has been created throughout our home, including the high-quality furnishings, were picked with our residents in mind, flawlessly blending modern and traditional styles to make residents feel at ease, happy, and most importantly, at home. At Manor Grange, guests can expect charming en-suite bedrooms, a fun-filled activities programme, impressive cinema room, beautiful gardens and much more. Our residents enjoy taking part in our arts and crafts or relaxing in one of our lounges with a beverage of choice and a newspaper. Our on-site chef produces fantastic meals that cater to all dietary constraints and include a wide variety of cuisines. The opportunities are endless here at Manor Grange and we promise that there’s plenty to do to keep one’s mind active.

Manor Grange Team

Meet The Team

  • Care Home Manager

    Billy Thompson

Billy’s background is in nursing which started in the 1980’s when he trained in both psychiatric and General Nursing. Billy quickly chose to work in care of elderly as he is passionate about the rights of older people and ensuring that any support necessary is both of a high standard and delivered in partnership with the people we support. Billy is committed to continuing and supporting the excellent work which the team at Manor Grange always deliver and believes it would be hard to find a better place to look after loved ones.

  • Deputy Manager

    Lesley Stewart

After going on holiday to Italy for two weeks and returning after 20 years, Lesley picked up Nursing again, with her background being a Specialist Nurse in Peritoneal Dialysis and Staff Nurse in Intensive Care at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Having had the fortune of amazing grandparents, Lesley always knew she would work with the elderly, and feels that they are an amazing generation who really do deserve the best. Lesley joined Manor Grange in February and loves the dynamic atmosphere and how everyone works together to benefit the residents who live here. Lesley is a massive supporter of further education and is looking forward to studying towards the PgCert/PgDip Person-Centred Practice – Advancing Care Home Practice Qualification.

Louise is very new to Manor Grange but hopes to bring her skills and knowledge to the team. In her previous post as Charge Nurse, she won Nurse of the Year for the whole of the UK in 2016. Louise has extensive knowledge in Dementia and thrives to make everyday a good day for our residents here at Manor Grange, ensuring that their choices are respected at all times.

Maureen enjoys building strong relationships with both residents and relatives. She leads a small but growing team of Activities staff who are all dedicated to bringing joy to our residents. Maureen can honestly say that Manor Grange is the best place she has worked in, and loves that we are a big family and this is “Home” and not “A Home”.
