Making Memories at Manor Grange’s Summer Fair

This year’s Summer Fair brought joy and sunshine to Manor Grange Care Home in Edinburgh, with residents, visitors and staff coming together for a day of treats and entertainment. We were delighted to welcome local craft stalls, baked goods, live music and classic fair games, including a tombola with some exciting prizes on offer. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Manor Grange community to enjoy the best of summer together.

Many of our residents and their families spent time browsing stalls, joining in with garden games, and sitting in the sun with a delicious sweet treat. Cakes from Strawberry Afternoon Teas were a highlight of the day, freshly served up and enjoyed during the event. Live music from The Tubby Horse Company added to the upbeat mood, with songs encouraging guests to dance and sing along.

Hosting the annual Summer Fair always creates a buzzing and welcoming atmosphere for our residents, and it was great to see so many visitors attending and getting involved this year. When family and friends bring the joy of summer to Manor Grange, it builds lasting memories, brings people together and helps everyone to feel more connected to the community.

As part of our activity programme, we put on events like our Summer Fair, birthday parties, outdoor games, as well as regular trips out into Edinburgh city and beyond. Activities like these can have a huge impact on positive wellbeing and confidence, while also making every day something to look forward to.
