Supporting Ukraine
The people of Ukraine are currently going through a time of crisis, and here at Manor Grange, we wanted to do anything we could to help. So many people are now facing hardships and struggles they never would have expected to face, and they need all the support they can get right now. That’s why all throughout April, we ran a campaign to raise funds for the people of Ukraine.
Residents were more than happy to be included in a variety of fundraising activities, such as increasing their steps and general movements either by skipping, walking, clapping, marching or waving to raise as much money as they could.
Deputy Manager Lesley walked 50 kilometres to raise funds for the people of Ukraine, whilst Administration Manager Pauline cycled 100 kilometres to play their part in the campaign. Staff also contributed to the overall fundraising by teaming up and increasing their step count. This resulted in an extremely huge amount of steps walked over the course of a day.
Residents went above and beyond to raise money for the people of Ukraine, so much so that they met their target of 50 kilometres in movement! On top of that, our incredible team at Manor Grange completed in excess of 500 kilometres, which is truly an impressive feat.
The total amount raised at this moment in time is £370, but we are still always open to raising more. We would like to say a huge “thank you” to everyone who has donated so far, and if you would like to make a donation please visit our Facebook page.
