Our Luxury Residential Care Home in Edinburgh

Each day is different at our Edinburgh care home. Thanks to the dedicated work of our Activities Coordinators, we are able to offer a weekly activities schedule where trips and events are organised for our residents to enjoy. We love nothing more than seeing our residents excited to participate in a group activity, proud of the artwork they have created or enthralled in a film in our cinema room.

We always support residents in their endeavours so if they would prefer to sit out and do their own thing, they are fully entitled to do so. We want our residents to do the things they love the way that suits them so that they can fully embrace life at Manor Grange.

Getting Out and About in Edinburgh

Our luxury residential care home in Edinburgh is perfectly located within the Capital. With a golf course just metres from the home and Edinburgh Zoo over the side of the road, residents are not limited to activities or fascinating places to visit.

If residents fancy delving further into the capital, they needn’t worry about catching public transport, instead, they can utilise our chauffeur driven car service, free of charge. Residents can sit back and relax on plush seats while they are driven to their requested location, whether it be to dine with a loved one or a visit to the doctors.

We truly believe that Edinburgh is the most sought after place to live in Scotland, especially for the older individual. There are so many fantastic places in Edinburgh that are a highly-recommended visit. One of the most historic sites that Edinburgh has to offer is the popular Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat; a stunning landmark of an extinct volcano with views of the Capital. Mary King’s Close, Linlithgow Palace, and the Royal Botanic Garden are also just a few of the excellent attractions that residents can enjoy on their doorstep.

Residential Care

Residential care is a great care option for those who need assistance with daily tasks such as dressing, cooking and cleaning. Residential care allows residents to treat our home as their own and go about their daily lives, as usual, but needn’t worry about the daily stresses of maintaining a household.

A Residential care home enables adults to live in a group setting rather than on their own, providing them with the opportunity to participate in a range of daily activities in a social setting whilst all household chores are taken care of, allowing residents to focus on the things that matter most.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a long-term health condition that affects a number of mental capabilities, including speech and memory. With the proper care and attention, residents living with dementia can continue to live their lives to the fullest by engaging in their favourite activities at our luxury care home.

When it comes to supporting residents, we try to aid them in prolonging their independence for as long as feasible. At Manor Grange Care Home, we recognise that no two people living with dementia are alike. Some may only require minor assistance, whereas some may have more advanced levels of dementia. We understand that needs can change over time as the condition progresses, therefore we ensure to monitor residents’ health on a regular basis.

Our qualified, experienced staff can administer medication, aid with mobility, assist those with physical disabilities, and provide high-quality care for residents with long-term illnesses including palliative care.

We want nothing more than for our residents to lead comfortable and happy lives every day here at our Edinburgh nursing home, that’s why our care team works tirelessly to ensure every individual is being treated with the utmost care and respect.

We provide a variety of entertainment and inclusive activities for everyone to be a part of, no matter what personal struggles they may be facing. We welcome family and friends of residents to visit at any time of day with our open-door policy so that they never miss out on crucial memories.

Respite Care

Respite Care is a type of care offered to someone who requires short-term care. It could be that someone has recently suffered from an injury, is recovering from a hospital stay, or needs a break from caregiving duties; respite care would be most appropriate for these types of scenarios. Manor Grange is here to provide superb, personalised care for a long as you need.

Respite care can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks and is available on a planned or emergency basis. Just like with our other types of care, a care plan will be created and tailored to your needs so that you can get the most out of your stay. It can be used as a way for future residents to experience a trial stay at our home before deciding to make the permanent move.
