Our Luxury Care Home in Edinburgh

No days are the same at our luxury care facility. Thanks to the hard work of our Activities Team, we are able to offer a weekly schedule of activities, trips and events planned for older people to enjoy. We love nothing more than seeing our residents engaged in a creative task within a small group, tapping their feet to the music of a live band, or enjoying delicious food created by our in-house chef. If residents prefer to sit out and do their own thing, they are completely entitled to do so. We want our residents to live their lives exactly how they want to and want them to feel comfortable and content in their endeavours.

Getting Out And About in Edinburgh

We are proud to be located in such an idyllic location. With a golf course within metres behind the care home and Edinburgh Zoo across the road, residents are not short of things to do and places to visit as a small group. If residents fancy delving further into the capital, they needn’t worry about taking public transport, instead, they can use our chauffeur-driven car service to get to the city centre. Residents can sit back and relax while they are chauffeured to a café to spend time with a loved one, browse the local shops or attend a dentist appointment.

There are so many stunning spots in Edinburgh that are a highly-recommended visit. One of the most historic sites that Edinburgh had to offer is of course Edinburgh Castle, and Arthur’s Seat; a beautiful landmark of an extinct volcano with breathtaking views of the city. Mary King’s Close, Linlithgow Palace, and the Royal Botanic Garden are also just a few of the impressive attractions that residents can explore. There are also plenty of eateries in Edinburgh to enjoy delicious food from a plethora of cuisines.

Residential Care

Residential Care is suited to those who need assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Residential care allows residents to treat our care home as their own and go about their daily lives, as usual, taking advantage of the various services and amenities available within a family atmosphere which aims to improve well-being.

A Residential home allows those of a senior age to live in a group setting rather than on their own, allowing them to partake in daily activities, socialise with others and enjoy delicious food prepared each day whilst having help from our care assistants as and when they require it.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a long-term illness that affects a number of mental functions, including speech and memory. With the right specialist care and attention, those living with dementia can continue to live their lives to the fullest while participating in their favourite activities at our purpose built care home.

When it comes to our residents, our goal is to assist them in maintaining their sense of self and independence for as long as possible. At Manor Grange Care Home, we recognise that no two people living with dementia are alike. Although some may only require minor assistance to start with, needs can change over time as the condition progresses, therefore we regularly reassess every resident to continue with our bespoke care service.

Respite Care

Respite care is a type of care offered for a limited duration of time. If someone has had a fall, is recovering from an illness or needs a break from caring for someone, this type of care is most appropriate. Manor Grange is here to provide the well-deserved care you require for as long as you need.

Respite care can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. This care type is a great option for future residents who are looking to move into our luxury care home but would like a trial stay before committing to the permanent move.
