Each day is varied at our Edinburgh care home. Due to the dedicated work of our Activities Coordinators, we are able to provide an activities schedule where activities, trips and events are organised for our residents per week. We love nothing more than to see our residents having a fantastic time socialising with others and learning or developing their skills.

We always support residents in their endeavours so if they would prefer to opt-out and spend their time doing something else, they are fully entitled to do so. We highly encourage our residents to do the things they love in the way that suits them so that they can fully embrace life at Manor Grange.

Residential Care

Residential Care is an excellent care option for those who require assistance with daily tasks including dressing, mobility and personal care. Residential care allows residents to treat our home as their own and go about their daily lives, as usual, but needn’t worry about the daily stresses of maintaining a household including chores such as cleaning, washing and cooking, instead, they can enjoy a pamper in the beauty salon or read in their own room.

Our purpose built care home enables older adults to live in a group setting rather than on their own, providing them with the opportunity to take part in lots of exciting daily activities and socialise with others. Our residential care team is always available to provide assistance to residents should they need it.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a long-term health condition that affects a number of cognitive functions, including speech and memory meaning those living with the condition will need adequate care at some point. By receiving specialist dementia care, residents living with dementia can continue to live a full and active life, and engage in their favourite activities whilst residing at our luxury residence.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive care while encouraging independence where possible. At Manor Grange Care Home, we recognise that no two people are alike. Some residents living with dementia may only require minor assistance, whereas others may have a more severe type of dementia. We understand that individual needs often change over time as the condition develops, therefore we will continue to monitor residents’ health on a regular basis.

We want nothing more than for residents to be comfortable and happy in their environment at our Edinburgh nursing home, that’s why our care teams work tirelessly to ensure every person is being treated with the utmost care and respect. We welcome family and friends of residents to visit our home at any time of day and have a open-door policy so that they can continue to make memories with loved ones.

Respite Care

Respite Care is a form of care offered to those who require short-term care. It could be that someone has recently suffered from an injury, is recovering from a hospital stay, or needs a break from caregiving duties, therefore respite care would be the best suited for these types of situations. Manor Grange is here to provide exceptional, personalised care for as long as you need.

Respite care can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks and can be organised in advance or on a last-minute basis. Just like with the other types of care we offer, care plans are developed and tailored to a person’s needs in order to get the most out of their stay. Respite care can be used to experience a trial stay at our home before making the decision to see if the home is right for you.
