Valentines Day Lunch Celebrations

This month is the month of love and here at Manor Grange Care Home, we held a special lunch followed by live entertainment to celebrate Valentines Day.

Relatives of our residents where invited to come and enjoy a delicious lunch with their loved one, a perfect opportunity for everyone to celebrate the occasion, whilst our residents can reminisce with their partners, sharing heartfelt stories with one another.

Both our residents, their loved ones and even our staff had a fabulous time.

During the lead up to Valentines Day, we had plenty of time and the opportunity to do lots of fun, creative activities such as arts and crafts. On the day, staff at our care home in Edinburgh got involved by giving cards to one another, letting them know how special they are; every resident also received a Valentines Day card.

After the lunch we were treated to some live entertainment, giving our residents the chance to get up and have a dance with their partners, everyone got involved and really enjoyed the day.

We always strive to do as much as we can to ensure our residents get the most out of their stay with us and we find that days like today make such a difference to our residents' wellbeing, spending the day with their loved ones, celebrating one another realises endorphins, making everyone happy and content.
